Well, as you may have noticed, we have taken somewhat of a hiatus on blogging for the past year! We know that is not the best practice and we've certainly missed sharing all of the exciting things that have been happening over the course of the year! We have been busy growing our team, moving into a new office, expanding to other cities and producing some of the most exciting events and gorgeous weddings in town!

We are excited to be back on our blog and have so much to share, but first I would love to re-introduce the team and show off some of our newest members that you may not even know yet!

First up...Katie Krause, our Business Development Leader and Executive Event Producer.

Not only has Katie been such a huge asset to me personally, helping me build the foundation of Liv by Design and The Good Life Furniture Collection (and other developments, stay tuned), she is a rockstar Event Producer, manages our LBD Intern Program and is hot after all the corporate business in town. She is true go-getter and sets the pace in our office for growing as leaders in the industry!

After scouring the city, near and far, alas we found our perfect match! We are thrilled to have Ashley Shannon join the team this summer!


With a background in golf sales and corporate events and a planner by nature, Ashley is our newest "Task Master." Her role is imperative to our success as she is the lifeline for our Executive Team and can always be seen providing onsite event support. She is enthusiastic and eager to learn all of the event knowledge she can soak up. I have no doubt this gal will grow into an Event Manager position in no time!

And if she isn't busy enough, Ashley also helps us manages The Good Life Furniture Collection. So, whether you're placing a rental order, providing vendor services at an event or a client receiving excellent customer service, you are sure to enjoy getting to know Ashley!'s a dirty job, but somebody's gotta do it! Meet Jenni Chester, the most stylish "Bean Counter" you've ever met!

Jenni earned a BBA in Accounting from Texas A&M University (we won't hold that against her) and prior to Liv by Design Events, she spent ten years at Dell Computer in Marketing and Operations.

Jenni joined our team last January and has been a gift!! As someone who really (really) dislikes math & Quickbooks, I am personally thrilled to have someone as wonderful as Jenni to keep our ducks in a row, make sure we are on budget, we are meeting our sales goals and able to continue to grow the businesses!

Our West Coast Rep, James Welby pops into the Austin scene from time to time!

As Creative Director (aka our amazing 3D Rendering guy) James supports our Austin team on our large design projects from coast to coast. More on James at a later date when we share what's hot & happenin Los Angeles!

My last sneak peek intro, but certainly not the least exciting, we are thrilled to introduce you to our newest team member, Katy Edling!

Katy is our in house Graphic Designer and Sketch Artist. We believe that every event deserves custom designed stationary! From invitations to day of signage, custom designed stationary is the best way to communicate your vision, your style and your voice thru each perfectly crafted detail.

We love being part of this portion of event design and are thrilled to have such talent on our team! Katy will share more on 12th & Lark Paperie later this week. Stay tuned!

And last, but certainly not least...our beloved mascot, Jones...

He is sweet, cuddly, adventurous and most certainly greets everyone with a smile!
